You are all part of something really special: a community dedicated to keeping our elder population, as well as their friends and families, engaged, excited and encouraged in their everyday life.
Our annual spring fundraising campaign starts with our generous sponsors: Dignity Memorial
, Nucor Steel
and three anonymous donors setting the pace by donating the initial seed money for matching funds to kick off the campaign of the mailing, emailing, website and social media promotion of the new fundraising goal of $40,000. To cap off the campaign the Center has its Annual Spring Breakfast
where guests receive a morning of inspiration, a scrumptious breakfast catered by The Kenney
and coffee from our good friend Lora Swift of Hotwire Coffee House
“Joy is in the Journey”
and it definitely showed as 150 people gathered to support the Senior Center of West Seattle at their annual spring fundraiser breakfast, Tuesday May 17th.
The highlight of the breakfast was an introduction of their social worker Holly McNeill and her local outreach program to homebound elders with a video & a testimonial from Sharon Todd.
The success of the breakfast brought in generous donations helping make the $40,000 goal much more reachable by May 31st.
